Adult Day Services
We provide people with services and support to pursue their interests, learn valuable life skills, and attain personal goals.
From new graduates to the elderly, People’s Arc offers an array of exciting activities for people to explore and experience during daytime hours. Through person-centered planning, people pinpoint their goals and pursue their passions. Working closely with their Direct Support Professionals, the people enrolled in our adult day service programs spend their days learning with pride, accessing resources, giving back to their community, and receiving encouragement and support to reach their highest potential.

Senior Day Habilitation
AHRC’s Senior Day Habilitation provides meaningful and functional activities for older people who need a change of pace.
Most individuals served in our Senior Day Habilitation Program have “retired” from other traditional services. The support provided to our seniors at People’s Arc focuses on assisting a person to maintain their independence, productivity, and purpose.
To keep the program fun and engaging, seniors choose from a list of activities each day including arts and crafts, bingo, golf, and a vast array of community activities and local events.

Program
Without Walls
Program Without Walls (PWW) is a community-based program for people ages 21 years and older with developmental disabilities. People enrolled in PWW learn new skills, build relationships, and develop self-esteem through volunteerism. Direct Support Staff assists people in volunteer and recreational activities at various art galleries, parks, department stores, museums, restaurants, fitness clubs, and with local community partners and organizations. For some people participating in Program Without Walls, these opportunities to engage with community members and enhance their skills have sparked an interest in seeking additional employment services.

Employment Services
The Employment Services of People’s Arc provides adults with intellectual and other developmental disabilities the opportunity to learn valuable vocational skills leading to community employment. We offer vocational assessments and community-based training experiences, all under the careful supervision of experienced staff who help each person find their ideal job and develop the skills needed to succeed.
